October 25th:

Chinnies adopted!
You may remember Diego and Lucy, a male/female pair of grey chinchillas that came in on January 28th 2009, and were separated to insure that Lucy wasn't pregnant. Well, unfortunately, she was. She gave birth to two adorable male kits, Jelly Bean and Button, on April 8th 2009. Jelly Bean and Button grew to be very healthy little boys! Now, at 6 months old, they have gone to their forever home, with Brian S., who adopted them on October 25th 2009, the same day their father Diego was adopted by Alexis R. and Preston the chinchilla. Diego, Jelly Bean and Button are now living happily in their new homes with new huge cages and lots of love!

October 24th:

One New Baby!!
Truffles, a female guinea pig given up with a large group of piggies, gave birth to a healthy baby pig, who has been named Crumpet, on October 24th 2009! As soon as this baby is old enough to be weaned, it will be sexed and placed with his father if a male or her sister and/or mother if a female. Check back soon for more updates!

September 19th:

Four New Critters!
Nina and Molly, guinea pigs, Tweety, a parakeet and Brownie, a hamster, were given to us on September 19th 2009 by the Tomball Police Department. They will be in quarantine for one month, and if all goes well
health-wise, then Nina, Molly and Brownie will be available for adoption. Tweety will become a permanent resident. Check back soon for more updates!

Adopted!
You might remember Candy, who was given to us by the Montgomery County Animal Shelter, along with a male guinea pig named Snickers, when her family was left homeless after Hurricane Ike. She was placed in a home in February, but unfortunately, didn't get along with the family's other pig, so she was returned. Valentina was given with 5 other pigs and was very friendly with them. Over time, as Valentina and Candy got to know each other, they became friends and soon, cage mates. They were adopted on September 19th 2009 by Laura H. and family. They are now enjoying a big cage and lots of loving!
